Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are all living through a challenging period in our lives. For the health and safety of our communities, we are expected to remain in our homes and adhere to the social distancing rules of our government.

As a result of the coronavirus, many of us have been forced to halt our day-to-day fitness regimen. On the bright side, millions of people are discovering creative ways to keep themselves busy and physically active.

Most gyms and fitness studios in our country have temporarily closed, so now is the perfect time to try a new fitness app. Not only do these fitness applications offer a safe alternative to outdoor exercise, many of them are now free. In fact, several popular applications are offering extended trial subscriptions, while others are adding free premium features to help their users take their at-home workouts to the next level.

To help you stay healthy during quarantine, we gathered a list of some of the best free fitness apps available to anyone with a smartphone or mobile device.

As previously mentioned, some of the fitness apps in our list are completely free while others offer a portion of their services without requiring a paid subscription.

Here are some of the favorites we’ve been using to stay active.

The Grind Never Stops, What Are You Waiting For?

Man exercising at home

Staying active and healthy during quarantine is tricky, but not impossible. These five companies have taken it upon themselves to provide us free access to their resources in our time of struggle.

We acknowledge their generosity because the fitness industry has been hit hard during the COVID pandemic. In that regard, we should all do our best to support our local gyms, studios, or personal trainers as much as possible.

At Eagle Gate College, we highly encourage you to continue exercising as regularly as possible throughout the quarantine. Doing so will not only improve your physical health but your mental health as well. With so much time spent indoors and dealing with so much uncertainly, we must all take care of ourselves and our wellbeing.
