Unitek Learning Celebrates Nursing Graduates in Idaho Falls
First Students Complete Nursing Programs at Eagle Gate College.
Idaho Falls, Idaho – In the fall of 2023, 45 exceptional students will graduate from one of several programs at Eagle Gate College. This includes individuals from the first graduating class of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, the Practical Nursing (PN) program, and the Master’s Entry Nursing Program (MEPN). There will also be graduates from the Medical Assisting (MA) program at the ceremony. Despite the challenges they faced, these students rose to the occasion and completed their programs in Idaho Falls.
“We have so many instructors that go above and beyond to support their students. Each instructor applies their own unique teaching philosophy to help establish successful students,” said Christopher Dixon, the Campus Director at Idaho Falls. “We want our students to grow, achieve, and live their best professional lives. Our ultimate goal is to prepare skilled graduates for the workforce and help combat the nursing shortage crisis that we currently face in Idaho.”
Sterling Hunting, a BSN graduate, added: “My experience at the Idaho Falls Eagle Gate College Campus was an incredible one. We had instructors who were truly passionate about what they were teaching, and you could feel it. They were invested in our success because they wanted us to be the best nurses possible. This means that they were willing to support us at any time, including late nights and weekends. The Idaho Falls Campus gave us incredible opportunities for learning within the classroom, skills lab, simulation lab, and clinical experiences. This program not only allows me to be successful as a nurse, but it has created lifelong relationships with my classmates. I am truly grateful for the instructors, along with all the support for the entire faculty team, and my classmates who made this experience not just full of learning but made it enjoyable with unforgettable moments.”
