Eagle Gate College Group Announces New Campus President

New Academic Leadership and Vision Support Growing College

Salt Lake City, Utah - December 20, 2007 - The Eagle Gate College Group, providing career-focused degree, certification and diploma programs in Utah, today announced the appointment of Janet Head as the new president of Eagle Gate College Murray Campus, and Jana Colyar as the Academic Dean of the College. The appointments are effective December 17, 2007.

"I am excited to welcome Janet Head and Jana Colyar to the Murray campus and to the community," said Dan Inman, Eagle Gate College Chief Operating Officer. "Janet and Jana know our college and our students, too. Janet previously served as president of the Layton campus and Jana formerly served as the president of the downtown Salt Lake City campus. We look forward to their administration and their leadership at the Murray campus."

The new campus leaders are transitioning to the Murray campus at a time of rapid growth for Eagle Gate College Group. Earlier this year the College, which offers in-demand programs in Healthcare, Business, Health and Wellness, Technology and Criminal Justice, announced the addition of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics reports 22,000 new jobs in the field of Business through the year 2014, a 10% projected growth rate.

"Jana and I look forward to meeting the students and to working with the faculty, staff and administrators who work together at Eagle Gate College," said Janet Head. "Together, we will build on the successes of our college system and continue our relationships with the community, area high schools and businesses."

Jana Colyar's vision for academic leadership is focused around preparing job-ready candidates for Utah employers. "Our mission is to help committed students attain rewarding careers through student-centered training and education of the highest quality," said Colyar. "We're accomplishing this mission by teaching the skills that apply directly to the marketplace and that employers want to hire." With over ten years in education leadership and administration, Colyar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, and a Master of Business Administration degree.

Janet Head brings over seven years in higher education leadership to the Campus President role. Prior to joining Eagle Gate College, Head was with Daymar College Group in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to that she was with National College. Head holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Science and a Master of Business Administration degree.
